Legacy Journal: Wednesday Perpetual Green: the 10% Wrong Rate.

It is a slow news day when ice in the American mid-west is the lead. The size, scope, and longevity of the electrical power outage is in stark contrast to the UN IPCC Bali conference where electricity powers the air conditioned watering holes where
ice cools the beverages.

Meanwhile, the vast perpetually green forests of Borneo, Sumatra and vast islands and sea waters Indonesia are inviting targets for something called “geoengineering” carbon flows and a fanciful version of presetting your favorite climate control choice.  So,who controls the remote?  And, did the climate models used be the scientists to predict with the earth’s temperature in 2030 with 90% certainty, warm the airlines and the hospitals of the ice storm in Oklahoma City?

* Weather manipulation has been investigated a weapon of war that is now “banned” by international treaty.  Climate manipulation, now there is a idea for out of work war gamers. Call it geoengineering.

* 90% seems to good enough for the U.N, and Environmental Treaty Conventions. It probably beat Las Vegas odds. However, most engineering standards would not accept a 10% failure rate of bridge, an aircraft engine, or a biomedical device.  Does your local news source or public school test book have a 10% error rate?  Does you favorite restaurant serve entrees that are bad 10% of the time?  Since when did a 10 %  wrong rate become an acceptable standard?
